I'm a lifelong learner, software developer and hobby artist. For me, making art is an important source of joy and well-being.
Currently living in the New Forest with my husband Iain and our recently adopted cat.

I think of hares as turbo-charged rabbits. Not for them the soft cosy life of the warren, they live their whole lives exposed to the elements, pitting their wits constantly against all types of predators. Beautiful, mysterious and tough.

Drawing clothing folds and drapes is really difficult for me. To help with that I painted an acrylic study of a portrait by Ingres. To see the masterful original, do a web search for Portrait of Comtesse d'Haussonville.

Digital composition of a wonderful ginger cat I used to know. Rest in peace big beautiful boy.

Digital art. Inspired by a sword lily that stubbornly grew out from under a huge agave, year after year. It had no extra feeding or watering, but somehow managed to produce beautiful delicate flowers out of a bed of gravel. Not completely sure its a Prins Claus varietal but I like the name.

Regular visitors to our garden, wood pigeons are a medley of soft greys, blues, pinks and iridescent green. I never tire of watching them and their endless cranky antics.

In May 2023 for the first time, bee-eaters returned to the same nesting spot in Norfolk for a second consecutive year. Up till now their visits have been very sporadic. The plumage is such an astonishing mix of colours. To continue seeing these little creatures all year round I made six of them and now they fly about in the wind outside my window.

A bit of a whimsical sculpture. She's withstood all seasons and weathers and a year later still outdoors with her pet hare keeping an eye on things.

Hares, what else needs to be said about these resilient, delightful animals. I admire them so much. One of my very first epoxy clay sculptures.

I've been wanting to sculpt a dragon for some time, and this is the result. She used to be red and white, but rushed the painting and it wasn't any good, so made her a black iridescent instead.
